The former San Bernardino County supervisor, former assessor and prime suspect in the ongoing county corruption investigation was arrested in court on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance last week.

It’s Postmus’ third arrest in the past two years, and it must have been a pretty low moment as he was in court to face charges that included drug possession along with more serious charges of grand theft and misappropriation of public money.

In this case, prosecutors are alleging that Postmus as assessor abused his office for personal gain by running a political operation at taxpayer expense. The drug charge stems from the discovery of methamphetamine in his home by investigators serving a search warrant there in January 2009.

They arrested him then, too, and he resigned from office about a month later.

Last February, investigators arrested him again when they filed conspiracy and bribery charges against him, this time accusing him of participating in a massive conspiracy to steal taxpayer money by settling a $102million land-use lawsuit with a developer (Colonies Partners LP) that made more than generous contributions to his campaign and political action committees to which he had ties.

When they arrested him, investigators found more drugs. And apparently, he was high.

According to the reports, Freeman, 28, has been accused by an 18-year-old student at McAlester High of rape when he was coach and teacher in 2008. He has been charged with all four counts in Pittsburg County.

”We had a detective go to his residence here and locate him there and place him under arrest for the warrant,” Lewis said. “He was arrested in his home and taken to the Cleveland County jail.”

According to the police, the accuser said each of the encounters took place inside a vehicle owned by McAlester Public Schools.

”Looking at the affidavit, there was three to four separate actual sexual incidents and some other incidents of a sexual nature,” Lewis said.

Freeman left McAlester and moved back to Moore where he was hired as an assistant football coach at Southmoore. That position lasted one season before he took the head coaching job at Hinton High.

Freeman resigned from Hinton in February. There have been no other complaints lodged against Freeman from his other coaching and teaching duties.

”Anytime there’s a teacher-coach arrested, there’s going to be some concern that there could be other victims, being that he was teaching and coaching at another school,” Lewis said. “Of course, that could be a concern.”

He was indicted on 12 counts of possessing or attempting to possess hydrocodone through a fraudulent prescription form.  Hydrocodone is a commonly-prescribed pain medication. Vicencio has been put on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation.

Adrian Holland, 22, until last week the director of coaching and player development for the Greater Fort Myers Soccer Club, Inc., was arrested on the Lee warrant in Broward County on Monday. Lee deputies booked him into a Fort Myers jail on Thursday afternoon.

He faces a charge of lewd and lascivious battery of a juvenile between the ages of 12 and 16, a second degree felony that carries a maximum 15 years in prison.

Robert Peltram, president of the Soccer Club, which runs the Lee County Strikers team program, said he was unaware of the alleged sexual relationship Holland had with a player.

“It’s getting worse and worse,” he remarked.

Last week, the club’s board of directors fired Holland after a Sheriff’s Office report revealed one of his female players complained about receiving inappropriate text messages from him. Peltram said directors made their decision after confirming the messages came from Holland’s phone number.

David Daniel Davis, 42, allegedly assaulted the field umpire, who had called one of his players out at first base, police said.

The Vallejo team had rallied from a 4-2 deficit to take a 5-4 lead in the seventh inning of the game against a team from Sonoma, but had to forfeit the game after the alleged assault, the team’s manager John Larson said.

The forfeit was the second loss for the team of 15-year-olds and it eliminated them from the eight-team, Northern California Babe Ruth League tournament, Larson said.

Davis went to police headquarters Tuesday to file a complaint against the umpire but, based on eyewitnesses’ statements, Davis was arrested for battery, police Lt. Abel Tenorio said.

He was booked into the Solano County Jail on $5,000 bail but is no longer in custody, according to a jail official. The penalty for battery on a sports official is punishable with a fine up to $2,000, up to a year in the county jail or both.

Larson said he did not witness the alleged battery. The field umpire was standing closer to second base when he called the batter out at first base, Larson said.

Davis, who was coaching first base, asked the field umpire to ask the home plate umpire if his player was out, Larson said.

“There were some choice words from the field umpire and he threw (Davis) out of the game,” Larson said.

That’s when Davis allegedly struck the umpire in the face, knocking him to the ground, Tenorio said. The Vallejo Fire Department responded to the incident around 3:15 p.m., spokesman William Tweedy said.

It was Davis’ first year coaching but he is now out of the Babe Ruth League, Larson said.

Larson said the incident has further tarnished Vallejo’s reputation.

“We were trying to build a better reputation than Vallejo has. Some teams don’t want to come to Vallejo to play because of the violence,” Larson said.

The Vallejo Babe Ruth League team’s facilities at Wilson Park were vandalized twice in June. Vandals smashed windows, computers and stadium lighting and left graffiti.

Vallejo was hosting the Babe Ruth League tournament. The League is comprised of teams for youth up to 18 years old.

They Vallejo team’s players were shocked after the forfeiture, Larson said.

“Most of them have been together for three years. They got all pumped up,” he said.

So did an assistant coach from the opposing team, identified by Maitland police as the father of the teenager with whom Calvin had just scuffled.

Ronald K. Synan Jr., 50, crossed the rink and reached the penalty box. And once inside, he pushed the boy into a corner, according to an arrest affidavit.

Then, according to the report, the south Seminole County man made threats against the boy, called him a foul name and punched him.

Police said the boy defended himself from the attack before bystanders pulled them apart.

Synan, who faces a charge of battery in the incident Saturday at the RDV Sportsplex, said he over-reacted to seeing his 15-year-old son hit and pushed by Calvin, who he described as being about 30 pounds heavier and four inches taller than his son.

“I lost my cool,” he said.

“I decided I was going to confront him,” Synan said of his decision to go to the penalty box, something he knows he should not have done.

But Synan denied allegations that he repeatedly punched Calvin.

Calvin was in full padding and wearing a mask, he said, so there was no way he could hurt him.

It was more like the two were wrestling, he said. The boy had his hockey stick and Synan was hit in the nose.

“I was a little rough with him,” Synan said. “I told him to leave my son alone.”

Synan said he apologized to everyone involved, starting with Calvin and his dad. He also admitted that he was wrong, something police confirm.

Saturday’s game was more physical than most games, said John Dickinson, Calvin’s father. Players were being checked into the boards, a practice that is forbidden in the games.

After one of his teammates was hit in the back, Calvin went after the player, hitting him and knocking him down, his father said.

“It was a rough game,” Synan said. “In eight years, it was the worst [youth] hockey game I’ve ever seen.”

Synan said his son was penalized by referees earlier in the game but that it was for something that happened during the course of play, not after the whistle had blown. The scuffle that led to Synan’s outburst came after the whistle.

Dickinson, of DeLand, said he was surprised when he saw Synan enter the penalty box.

“All of a sudden I saw his arm go back,” he recalled. “It was absolutely crazy.”

He said his son was probably saved from serious injury because he was wearing his mask.

Robin Michael Alarcon an assistant freshman girl’s soccer coach was arrested on Wednesday at the 4-S Ranch campus on suspicion of luring a minor for sexual purposes and sending “harmful matter” to a juvenile.

San Diego sex crime charges were not filed against Alarcon. More investigation is still needed and more questions need to be answered, according to police. The 35 year-old has been “permanently released from all duties” with the Poway Unified School District, according to Sharon Raffer spokeswoman for the district.

This was the second arrest since December when Ryan Paul Carnell, a former Westview High School volunteer wrestling coach was arrested for allegedly molesting a juvenile female student. The 28 year-old Carnell three months earlier pleaded no contest to lewd behavior for sending a picture of his genitals to an underage female student.

Laurence Draluck, 48, the Newport Harbor High School girls’ soccer coach, was arrested Oct. 6 in Costa Mesa on his way home from Los Angeles when police pulled him over and eventually arrested him on suspicion of Orange County DUI, he said.

Prosecutors declined to elaborate on why they did not choose to charge him, only saying there was a lack of evidence. Prosecutors legally have up to a year from Draluck’s arrest to charge him, but said unless anything new turns up in the case, that is highly unlikely. It is rare, that there woudl be lack of evidence in an Orange County DUI.

ORLANDO, Fla. —

The Orange-Osceola State Attorney’s office is being asked by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office to decide whether Kevin McGill should be charged for what a 16-year-old cheerleader claims was an afternoon of partial skinny-dipping, full nudity, mutual showering and a naked massage in his apartment last summer.

McGill denies any wrongdoing here and in Indiana, where Local 6 found he faced similar accusations more than four years ago.

He declined several requests for an interview and both he and his attorney refused to reply to several specific questions about his past. But his attorney, Dennis Salvagio, did issue this statement:

“Our custom is to never discuss any matter in the media. With respect to your presentation, Mr. McGill denies any allegations. He has completely cooperated with law enforcement answering all questions, has taken both a polygraph examination and voice stress test and has passed them. After what we believe to be a thorough investigation, there have been no charges filed against Mr. McGill, nor is there any substance to said allegations.”
